We love you Pop!

Donald Waide Silsley

December 15, 1919-June 10, 2008

On Tuesday, June 10, Ryan's grandfather, Donald Waide Silsley, past away. He was 88. He passed at home, surrounded by his family. His "four little lambs", his daughters cared for him in his last days. The afternoon of his passing, each of his grandchildren and their families came to Gran's house. There, we visited each other, said good-bye to Pop, told stories with many laughs and tears. He was the best grandpa anyone could ask for. Since I've known Ryan, I have heard so many "Pop stories". They are the funniest, sweetest recounts of a man who loved his family very much. He left behind a loving wife of 62 years, four daughters, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and counting...

This was the last time Ryan, Christopher and I saw Pop.

Three generations of fathers.

Last Monday, Christopher had a barium swallow done to make sure he isn't backwards inside like his Mommy. He isn't! He was a very good boy while they took the pictures.

Christopher, first thing in the morning. He loves grabbing his left foot. Always his left foot.

When he awakens in the morning, I open the curtains, wind his mobile and give him a toy. This keeps him occupied for about twenty minutes.
